Predoctoral position at IRTA-CReSA

About you
We are looking to hire a highly ambitious and motivated scientist with a deep interest in zoonotic enteric bacteria, able to integrate knowledge from a broad range of scientific fields. Experience in microbiology and molecular biology is a requirement, and experience or interest in bioinformatics analyses is essential (training will be provided) to perform phylogenetic and next-generation sequencing data analyses.
Master’s degree required, preferably related with Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Biotechnology. Good level of written and spoken English required.

About us
You will join a dynamic group lead by Marta Cerdà at IRTA-CReSA. We investigate various aspects of the biology of Campylobacter in poultry with a specific focus on the host-pathogen interactions and the antimicrobial resistance of isolates under a One Health approach. The IRTA-CReSA research centre is located in the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Bellaterra, Barcelona, Spain).
The PhD will be developed within the Doctoral Program of Animal Health of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
