CH4-BIOPOL is a project funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/ 501100011033 and for the European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR. The main goal of CH4-BIOPOL is to demonstrate the feasibility of producing extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) from methane by methanotrophs. Control and optimization of EPS bioproduction, understanding the pathways involved, and unraveling its physicochemical characterization are the main targets of this project. So, we are looking for a highly motivated Advanced Research Technician (microbiologist or related discipline), preferably with experience in the field of methanotrophs ecology or related research activities (e.g., environmental microbial ecology). The hired person will combine both desktop and experimental work.
Performance of laboratory tasks including growth of pure culture strains. Identification of key genes involved in EPS production by aerobic methanotrophs. Edition of technical reports and project deliverables.
