MicroMol Awards

The Molecular Microbiology Group of the Spanish Society of Microbiology announces the MicroMol Granada Research Award for relevant research work in this scientific field

Bases of the call:

1st Research works in molecular microbiology published as original articles during the years 2020 and 2021 in a journal included in ISI, carried out totally or partially in a laboratory located in Spain, will be eligible for this Award. This call also includes those articles that, although published in paper in 2022, have an online publication date in 2021. These articles cannot, therefore, be presented in the next call.

2nd The candidacy will be presented by any of the authors of the work who is a member of the SEM and a member of the Molecular Microbiology Group at the time of submission of the candidacy.

3rd To present the candidacy, the article will be sent in PDF format to the email address of the President of the specialized Group (agcampa@isciii.es) within the stipulated period.

4th The deadline for submitting candidatures will end on May 15, 2022.

5th Applications will be evaluated by the Board of Directors of the Molecular Microbiology Group of the SEM. The award may be declared void if, in the opinion of the jury, the works presented do not meet sufficient scientific quality.

6th The award will consist of two Honorable Mentions (1st and 2nd) that will be awarded at the 2022 specialized group meeting (an accreditation diploma for each of the authors). The first signatory of each article, or failing that, one of the other authors of the article by mutual agreement, will have the opportunity to present the winning work at the closing of said meeting (maximum duration of 20 minutes each).
