What are the advantages of belonging to SEM?

The Spanish Society of Microbiology (SEM) is a scientific society founded in 1946 at the Jaime Ferrán Institute, of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), in Madrid.

The main objectives of SEM are: to promote basic and applied microbiology, cultivate international relations, bring together the different professionals who worked in this science, and contribute to the dissemination of science in general, and of microbiology in particular, among citizenship.

It is an interdisciplinary society, which has some 1700 members working in the different fields of microbiology.

Types of partners. They are defined in article 8 of the statutes and they are the following:

Numerary, Emeritus, Honorary, Protector, Adhered, Student.
