MICROPATHS 2026: The meeting point for the new generation of microbiome researchers
Conexión-MICROBIOMA CSIC, together with the Group of Young Researchers of the Spanish Society of Microbiology (JISEM), are pleased to present MICROPATHS 2026, a free-registration symposium created to advance those who are shaping the future of the study of the microbiome.
Of the June 15-16, 2026, young researchers from all over Europe will meet in Madrid to explore the most recent advances in metagenomics, microbial ecology, bioinformatics, culturomics and many other emerging areas. The objectives are clear: disseminate, share, learn and build new collaborations.
The program includes dynamic talks, round tables and networking spaces, all designed to encourage the exchange of ideas between researchers in the early stages of their career.
In addition, thanks to the financial support of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) and Conexión MICROBIOMA-CSIC, MICROPATHS 2026 will facilitate the attendance of young researchers by offering scholarships to cover travel and accommodation expenses for students pursuing a master's degree, completing a doctorate or in the first years of a postdoctorate.
