Description: Symbiosis of an algae (green) and an ascomycete fungus (brown) forming a lichen thallus. Lichen developed on a branch of Thymus zygis collected in the Saladar del Margen (Granada). The image was taken with a Zeiss Dic Axioskop R25494 microscope at 400x magnification.
