Aid for the hiring of predoctoral investigating personnel (FI-Step)

Our research team in ICRA (Girona) is looking for a candidate to request help for hiring predoctoral investigating personnel in the field of Step (FI-Step) technologies. This call, managed by AGAUR-GENERALITAT of Catalonia, will open shortly. Contracts have a duration of three years and are destined to carry out the doctoral thesis. Nationality is required
Some of the Member States of the European Union, a Master's degree and a minimum average grade in the academic file greater than 6.50 (scale from 0 to 10). In addition, studies that allow doctoral access must have been completed between January 1, 2022 and the start date of the contract.

The thesis proposal focuses on the characterization of resistant bacteria and its plasmids, responsible for conferring resistance to carbapenemic antibiotics, in wastewater samples. For this, an approach based on wastewater epidemiology, combined with genomic and bioinformatics tools will be used. The doctoral thesis will be developed within the framework of the Expowaste Coordinated Project.
