Number of places: 1 Plaza responsible for microbiology

LOCATION OF THE WORK: LEON

Objective of the job:
Offer diagnostic and therapeutic advice to the doctors responsible for patients with suspicion of infection and organize the processing of clinical samples of said patients in the microbiology laboratory, in order to identify the causal agent of the infection, as well as to achieve diagnostic optimization and therapy.

Profile required for the job:
 Specialist in Microbiology and Parasitology via M.I.R, B.I.R, F.I.R or Q.U.I.R. approved in Spain.
 Desirable 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Workplace functions:
 Coordinate, plan, supervise and advise on the activity of the microbiology service.
 Implement, review, and supervise the general service work procedures.
 Organize and supervise the processing of samples of the Microbiology Laboratory.
 Notification at the File Service LAS EDO (Mandatory Declaration Diseases) that are detected.
 Actively monitor the appearance of new cases of hospital infection to detect the presence of possible outbreaks.
 Collaborate with the doctors who request it in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with suspected infection.
 Management of computer systems of the microbiology service.
 Ensure the maintenance of the equipment and medical material assigned to the department, promoting their proper management by the assigned personnel.
 Develop the research and training of the assigned service.

POSITION CONDITIONS:
 Indefinite contract.
 Complete journey.
 Category: Microbiology.
 Hours: Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 08:00 to 3:00 p.m.
 Salary: € 48,500 annual gross.
