-Responsibilities as a register:

. The selected candidate will work as an important part of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Consultant. You will be responsible for frontline care for a wide range of patients. Responsibilities as consultant:

  • This candidate will be part of the team of consultants, and will be one of the top managers of the department, therefore he will occupy a leadership position and act with total autonomy. Below him he will have residents and registered doctors, he will have to supervise all the decisions made by your team, and he will report to the clinical director of the hospital.

 

General functions:

It will focus on the diagnosis, treatment and control of infections caused by microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites). Its functions include:

  • Infectious disease diagnosis through sampling analysis (blood, urine, sputum, tissues, etc.).
  • Supervision of clinical microbiology laboratories.
  • Advice to doctors and clinical equipment on proper treatment with antibiotics or antivirals (Antibiotic Stewardship).
  • Hospital infections control, including outbreaks of resistant bacteria like MRSA.

B2-c1 level of English – in the case of registration positions it is necessary to pass the IETLS or the OET exam

If you come from outside the EU, and have the specialty approved in Spain, three years of experience in Spain since said approval is necessary to be able to apply to Ireland. The same with the bachelor's degree, it is necessary to have three years of experience after approval.

 

What is offered:

 

One year -year contracts + indefinite.

For consulting doctors, up to €12,000 (BETWEEN €233.5-€280.5 as gross annual base salary) per month, depending on experience (up to €320,000 gross per year with localized on-call).
