Looking for a candidate to apply for a Juan de la Cierva contract in the laboratory of Dr. Miguel A. Matilla (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8468-9604) at the Zaidín Experimental Station (https://www.eez.csic.es/).
Research line: “Mechanisms of plant-bacteria communication from a multidisciplinary perspective”
Description: The plant microbiota is key to the growth and health of plants. The interaction between plants and their associated microbiota is highly dynamic and involves a diversity of signal molecules. The applicant will investigate, from a multidisciplinary perspective, the mechanisms by which various signal molecules modulate different bacterial physiological and metabolic processes, including chemotaxis, virulence and antibiotic production, in beneficial and pathogenic bacteria associated with plants.
