Hortega River Contract - Nanotechnology and Diagnosis Project of emerging viruses

A health professional with specialized training (FSE) and clear vocation for translational research is sought to jointly request a Hortega River contract in the next strategic action in intramural health (AESI 2025).
This contract is designed as an intensive research training bridge for specialists who have finished their FSE period. The objective is to provide solid scientific training that allows the candidate/to initiate a career as a clinical researcher, integrating their care experience with the tools of biomedical research.
The candidate will be incorporated into a line of investigation focused on the development of dendritic nanosystems for the diagnosis of high sanitary impact viral infections, such as hepatitis C, dengue and virus of the western Nile in the framework of the projects "Dendritic nanosystems applied to the diagnosis of viral infections”, “A New Frontier: Dendritic Nanosystems for Emerging Viral Infection Diagnosis” y “Dendritic nanosystems applied to the diagnosis of the western Nile virus (Denawest)”.
The objective is to guide the development of new diagnostic tools that respond to real health system, guaranteeing its applicability and relevance.
Orientative profile of the candidate
- Be in possession of the official specialty title (MIR, FIR, BIR, QIR, ...)
- Have finished the FSE program in the year 2020 or at a later date (with exceptions according to the call).
- Competitive CV, with scientific publications in preferred positions, participation in research projects and contributions at congresses

It is offered
The selected person will be trained in translational research, acquiring experience in: design and application of nanotechnology and biosensors; production and characterization of monoclonal antibodies; Antibody conjugation with functionalized nanoparticles; and optimization of detection platforms in clinical and public health environments.
The work will be developed in a multidisciplinary environment (biology, pharmacy, microbiology, bioinformatics and statistics) integrated into cyberinfec, with collaboration options and national and international stays.
