Head of the Microbiology Laboratory of the Blood and Tissue Bank (ID19190)
Mission
Plan and coordinate the tasks carried out by people to guarantee the correct functioning of the laboratory, carrying them out in accordance with current regulations, the mission, vision and values of the BST, following the established strategic objectives and ensuring their execution with efficiency and effectiveness, through the coordination of the assigned material and human resources.
Main responsibilities and functions
• Participate in the assessment of the needs of the BST's internal and external clients, maintaining a fluid relationship with them, responding to their queries, guaranteeing the response within the agreed deadlines and evaluating the demand for new analytical tests.
• Assess, design, develop and validate new analytical techniques before their implementation in the laboratory, in order to ensure that they meet the required quality levels and are aligned with technological surveillance and the mission of the BST.
• Establish validation criteria for analytical tests performed in the laboratory.
• Train, supervise, evaluate and guide laboratory personnel, both technicians and physicians. Participate in the definition of collaborators' objectives, monitoring and evaluating them.
• Participate in teaching activities related to your area of knowledge, both internal and external. Monitor the training of residents and undergraduate and graduate students.
• Ensure the correct development of the laboratory activity with the available resources and guaranteeing sustainability.
• Promote research and development of new products in its field to respond to user needs, as well as promote collaborative work and a multidisciplinary approach with other divisions or laboratories to meet healthcare needs.
• Work in a coordinated manner with other laboratory heads, sharing knowledge to apply best practices in the processes, techniques and equipment used, as well as in common pre-analytical and post-analytical processes.
• Represent the laboratory in internal and external meetings. Collaborate with other BST services in the development of transversal projects.
• Participate in the design and implementation of laboratory strategies, in accordance with the guidelines of the Laboratory Directorate and the mission of the BST.
• Comply with the guidelines of the quality, environmental and prevention management systems. Guarantee the implementation of quality standards and norms, coordinating activities related to quality management. Monitor process indicators and the quality of the analytical determinations made (KPIs).
• Comply with all those functions and responsibilities inherent to the job, in accordance with the guidelines of the Laboratory Directorate.
• Cumplir con las funciones establecidas en el Manual de Prevención, Calidad y Medio Ambiente.
Requirements
• Licenciatura o grado en Medicina o en Biociencias, y especialidad en Microbiología obtenida mediante BIR, FIR o MIR.

Ofrecemos un puesto de trabajo con las siguientes características:
• Puesto: Jefe/a de Laboratorio de Microbiología (ID 19190).
• Centro de trabajo: Banco de Sangre y Tejidos, ubicado en la Sede Central – Edificio Dr. Frederic Duran i Jordà.
• Jornada: 100 %.
• Turno: Partido.
• Horario específico: de 8:00 h a 17:00 h, con flexibilidad.
• Duración del contrato: interinidad hasta la publicación del puesto mediante oferta pública de ocupación.
• Retribución: Según el III Convenio SISCAT y experiencia del candidato/a
