TESIS DOCTORAL EN VACUNAS DE NUEVA GENERACIÓN CONTRA BACTERIAS PATÓGENAS

Están disponibles dos plazas para realizar tesis doctoral en el ámbito de la Microbiología e Inmunología en la Facultad de Veterinaria de la Universidad de Zaragoza, y a iniciarse cuanto antes. El proyecto de investigación está dedicado al diseño de vacunas de última generación contra bacterias patógenas que causan enormes problemas en el ámbito de la salud humana y animal.

El proyecto tratará de generar vacunas de última generación en candidatos vacunales que ya están preseleccionados. En el proyecto se utilizarán técnicas de ingeniería genética, producción y aislamiento de proteínas, secuenciación genética, caracterización bioquímica, estudios de la interacción entre bacteria y macrófagos, transcriptómica y bioinformática, microscopía y ensayos en animales de experimentación, entre otras. Todas estas técnicas se aprenderán en el laboratorio. Se trata pues de un proyecto muy completo y en el que participan tres universidades extranjeras: Universidad de Utrecht (Holanda), Universidad de Cambridge (UK) y Universidad de Montreal (Canadá). Es una buena oportunidad para realizar la tesis en proyectos de interés actual combinando tecnologías convencionales y de última generación y realizar estancias en laboratorios internacionales para conseguir un doctorado europeo.

Busco candidatos a realizar la tesis que preferentemente puedan ser financiados a través de becas a aplicar o contrato de investigación. En cualquier caso es necesario un buen expediente académico (superior a 7.5). Preferentemente graduados en ciencias biológicas afines (biología, farmacia, biotecnología, microbiología,…) con cierta experiencia (si es posible) en microbiología.

Te incorporarás a un grupo joven y dinámico con producción científica de calidad y perspectivas de generar patentes internacionales, en un gran ambiente de trabajo (no masificado). Trabajarás junto con otros compañeros en el mismo proyecto lo cual permitirá un flujo de información y conocimiento rápido. Podrás impartir docencia y dirigir a TFGs/TFMs (dependiendo de la fuente de financiación) dentro de tu propia investigación.
