Our partner Santiago Vega has been awarded in the first edition of the "Veterinary and Animal Nutrition Awards” from the newspaper La Razón, in the category of scientific dissemination on pandemics, for his great work in disseminating COVID-19 from a veterinary perspective.
In this first edition, held yesterday at the Meliá Avenida de América hotel in Madrid, several prizes were awarded that include twelve companies, institutions and researchers, including our colleague Santiago Vega. The gala was presented by Carlos Rodríguez, presenter of the program 'Como el perro y el gato' on Onda Cero, who stressed the need to give recognition to veterinarians. At the gala, the term "One Health" was one of the most repeated, referring to the global health strategy that seeks to bring doctors and veterinarians closer together, and that leads to human beings, animals and the environment being more interconnected, especially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has highlighted the need for more health controls in the animal sector.
Congratulations James!
