Raúl Rivas, winner of the Fertiberia 2025 Awards

Our colleague Raúl Rivas has been awarded one of the Fertiberia Awards 2025, one of the most outstanding recognitions in the field of agronomic research at the European level. The award recognizes his work in directing, together with researcher José David Flores Félix, a doctoral thesis by USAL researcher Rocío Roca Couso.

The work directed by Rivas, which has deserved recognition, is titled: 'Analysis of the endobacterioma associated with Rubus ulmifolius Schott, evaluation of the antifungal potential of the linked bacterial volatilome and study of the influence of strains of the genera Arthrobacter and Rhizobium in the variation of gene expression related to tolerance to oxidative stress in the in vivo model Caenorhabditis elegans‘.
