The Food Microbiology Specialized Group is pleased to announce the following awards:
Resolution of the 2024 Food Microbiology Group Special Prize for Young Researchers: Awarded to researcher Alberto Garre Pérez (Polytechnic University of Cartagena).
Resolution of the Award for the best Doctoral Thesis 2022 in Food Microbiology: Awarded ex-aequo to Cristina Rodríguez Melcón for her Doctoral Thesis entitled “Characterization and control of antimicrobial resistance and biofilms in pathogenic bacteria of interest in the Food Industry: towards the One Health approach” (University of León) and Silvia Guillén Morer for her Doctoral Thesis entitled “Study of the relationships between stress resistance, growth capacity and virulence in the genus _Salmonella_” (Zaragoza's University).
The awards will be presented during the next XXIII National Congress of Food Microbiology (Cartagena, September 9-12, 2024).
